During the 1980’s a remarkable development took place in cycling clothes. Lycra, a fabric that had been all the rage in the skiing world, made its entrance in the cycling peloton. Excellent news for all those cyclists who for many years cursed the poor comfort of the cycling shorts in use at that time. Especially the manner in which the chamois was integrated into the shorts, caused inconvenience and irritation. Out of concern for the sitting area of the cyclist Bio-Racer developed a pair of shorts with the very first seamless chamois: the Airstripe. This chamois unleashed a revolution in the cycling world and now, in all its improved versions, it is impossible to imagine cycling clothes without it.
