In the past we have been focusing on improving the aquadynamic properties of our suits. Swimming is an important leg during triathlon races. In short distance triathlon with drafting allowed this is of an even bigger importance. The faster you swim, the higher the chance to be in the leading group.

 

The key focus point in the development of this suit was to further improve swimming efficiency.

 

In close collaboration with the triathletes, Bioracer has developed the Rio Tri Suit.

 

Key features are the use of an entirely new fabric, FLOW, and an improved aquadynamic cut.

 

The way FLOW works is very particular. The fabric is water repellent. Instead of intruding into the fabric, water particles stick to the outer surface, and provide a “ball bearing” effect.

 

The Aquadynamic cut of the Rio Tri Suit enhances this ball bearing effect furthermore.

 

These characteristics combined played a big part in the higher swimming speeds of the Belgian triathletes, and gave them a bigger chance to qualify.

 

Warning: this triathlon suit can be a bit see-through if you bend over (it is not completely "squat proof").
